Welcome to Merkado.cw ("Merkado", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.
Merkado is a marketplace platform operating in Curaçao for cars and real estate. We aggregate publicly available listings from third-party sources and allow private sellers and landlords to post listings directly. Merkado is operated from Willemstad, Curaçao.
You may use Merkado to browse car and property listings, contact sellers, and report listings without creating an account. To post a listing, save favorites, or run Property Match (including AI situation parse and ranked matches), you must register for an account. Guests may open the Property Match page and draft criteria, but seeing matches requires sign-in.
When using Merkado, you agree to:
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, post fraudulent content, or engage in abusive behavior.
Native listings (posted by users): You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information, photos, and pricing you provide. By posting a listing, you confirm that you have the legal right to sell or rent the item or property and that all information is truthful. When a deal is complete, you should mark a for-sale listing as sold or a for-rent listing as rented.
Listing limits: Accounts may keep a limited number of active listings (currently up to two across cars and real estate combined). You can request a higher limit from Merkado. Paid listing plans may be introduced later. Limits are shown in the product when you create or manage listings.
Aggregated listings (sourced from third parties): Some listings on Merkado are sourced from publicly available third-party websites. These listings link back to the original source and may include cars or real estate. Merkado does not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or completeness of aggregated listings, and does not present them as Merkado-owned inventory.
Property Match helps you find suitable properties from active Merkado inventory based on criteria you enter. Results are guidance, not professional advice, valuation, or a guarantee that a property is available, accurate, or right for you.
Running Property Match requires a free account. Signed-in members may see a limited free match list. Saving a search and receiving email alerts may require an unlock (temporary early access today; paid access via Sentoo may launch later). Merkado may limit how many saved searches an account can keep.
Merkado is a listing platform, not a dealer, broker, or agent. We do not inspect, certify, or guarantee any cars or properties listed on the platform. All transactions are between the buyer/renter and the seller/landlord. You use the platform and make purchasing or renting decisions at your own risk.
We provide the platform "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of Curaçao, Merkado and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to damages from vehicle or property purchases or rentals, failed transactions, or reliance on listing information or matching tools.
If you are a listing source and wish to have your content removed from Merkado, please contact us at info@merkado.cw. We aim to process all removal requests within 24 hours.
If you posted a listing on Merkado, you can delete it yourself at any time from your account under My Listings (Cars or Real Estate).
If you believe a listing violates these Terms or contains inaccurate information, you may report it using the "Report this listing" feature on any listing page.
The Merkado name, logo, and website design are the property of Merkado. Listing data sourced from third parties remains the property of the respective owners.
You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute content from Merkado without written permission.
Merkado uses third-party services including Google (authentication and analytics), Meta/Facebook (authentication), OpenAI (Property Match interpretation and aggregated real-estate presentation), Tally (partnership inquiries), Resend (email), and hosting and infrastructure providers. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Curaçao. Any disputes arising from the use of Merkado shall be resolved in the courts of Curaçao.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Merkado after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
